In the days ahead, RATIO ET RES IPSA (RERI) will observe a moratorium. After “the first 100 hours” of noise and nonsense have passed, RERI will resume with new Posts and new Notes on January 25, 2025.
Americans loyal to the “Idea of America” – the idea of liberty and justice for all, as equal citizens, consenting freely to live under the rule of law, which protects (and must protect) the inalienable rights of ALL men and women, without fear or favor, without bias or bigotry, without regard to high or low “status” of individuals in the world, with true regard for honest service of the common good and of real justice, social, political and economic, for ALL – we the sovereign and loyal people of the American nation will need to rest during these days of national ignominy and disgrace, gathering our strength and forming our composure for the grave and serious challenges that surely lie ahead.
As we celebrate tomorrow the legacy, courage, and achievements of the late, great Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., and as we remember with honor and respect the beloved, honorable, recently departed President Jimmy Carter, let us also bear in mind, steadfastly, that a cool head in a fight is a real advantage.
We will need our health, our strength, our commitment, our courage, our wits, and our mutual support, to protect and defend the ACTUAL Constitution of the United States.
Keep the faith. Keep the Republic. Restore the rule of law. Restore public decency to our civic life and our civil society.
United, there is nothing we cannot do, nothing we cannot accomplish, no challenge we cannot meet, no harm we cannot repair. Divided, we can not – we will not – stand.
May God help us all, and may God protect our troops, because DJT and his greedy, faithless, unprincipled, dishonest and lawless enablers will do neither.
